What is an .ANIMEPROJ file?

An ANIMEPROJ file is a data file created with Anime Studio 11 and later, a drawing and animation program. It contains information about an .ANIME document, such as styles, layers, and metadata. ANIMEPROJ files are saved in JSON format.

When ANIMEPROJ files are created, they are placed in an ANIME document, which is an archive compressed with ZIP compression. While ANIMEPROJ files should be opened in Anime Studio Pro or Debut, you can directly open the file by extracting them from ANIME files. To do this, rename the ".anime" extension with the ".zip" extension, then extract the contents with the decompression program. You can then use a text editor to open the ANIMEPROJ file.

NOTE: Anime Studio was renamed as Moho with the release of version 12.
