The AI4 file extension is associated with the Generic Encapsulated PostScript graphics file format.

(Encapsulated PostScript) A PostScript file format used to transfer a graphic image between applications and platforms. EPS files contain PostScript code as well as an optional preview image in TIFF, WMF, PICT or EPSI, the latter being an ASCII-only format. Adobe Illustrator has its own variation of EPS, which is an EPS subset, thus, both Illustrator EPS and standard EPS files are in use.

How to open:

Use Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop.

How to convert:

As far as we know, this .ai4 file type can't be converted to any other file format. This is usually the case of system, configuration, temporary, or data files containing data exclusive to only one software and used for its own purposes. Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.
