What is an .TP file?

The tp file extension is often used for movies and videos recorded in MPEG-2 format on many digital recorders, satellite receivers, and some multimedia tvs.

TP format needs to be converted to more common formats such as avi or mpeg, to be playable in standard media players. However, some specialized programs are able to directly play tp files.
